Why access to the breast augmentation photos is restricted
The problem was Photographic Piracy:
On two occasions, I discovered that my photographs had been copied and appeared on other doctors' web sites, represented as being their own work. Neither of the doctors were certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and in fact both of them lacked the credentials and training to even try to get that certification. They yielded to pressure to remove my photos of my patients from their websites, but I don't want to risk that again. As the result, the photos are visibly watermarked and have steganographically implanted digital signatures. Plus, they are somewhat difficult to download, copy, or print.
